Parray pora erupts over harassment of Kashmiri's in Jammu, elsewhere, clashes break out | KNO

Srinagar, February 18 (KNO) : Massive clashes broke out in upper town area of Parray pora in Srinagar city after youth took to streets to protest harassment of Kashmiris in Jammu and other parts of India, Locals told KNO youth assembled on roads and chanted slogans against the harassment and violence targeting Kashmiris.

"As soon as police arrived at the scene clashes broke out and youth resorted to stone pelting," they said, adding that traffic on the road has been disturbed due to continuous clashes going on in the area.  Parray pora, the upper town of the city is a hub of private coaching centres with a massive footfall of students every day. 

More police personnel have been rushed to the spot to control the situation.  "No tear gas shelling has been done but police is trying to control the situation," eye witnesses said.(KNO)
